Klaben Auto Stores, in Kent, OH, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented person -- with extensive knowledge of technical repairs and good communication skills -- to dispatch service work, supervise technicians and carry out Service Manager responsibilities in his absence.
Summary of Essential Duties:
· Dispatch service work and communicate effectively with technicians, advisors, customers and management about ordered service and repairs;
· Assist Service Manager with training, motivation, counseling and monitoring performance of service department staff;
· Assist Service Manager with budgeting, reporting, tracking and surveys, manufacturer compliance and warranty administration;
· Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations affecting service operations and personnel administration;
· Maintain manufacturer’s certifications as required by dealership;
· Build and maintain relationships with Klaben customers and promote repeat and referral business.
What We Are Seeking:
· 3-5 years’ experience in a dealership setting utilizing management techniques and team work concepts in providing automotive service;
· Extensive knowledge of automotive technical repairs;
· Computer literate with well-developed information processing skills;
· High school graduate or equivalent and competency in advanced use of Excel spreadsheets;
· Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of dealership service systems and processes and to record and manipulate data in spreadsheet form;
· Well-organized, systematic and precise in carrying out job duties in a timely manner;
· Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with dealership personnel;
· Neat and clean appearance;
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly.
