Town Hall Estates Arlington is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated in-house rehabilitation department. We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and PRN (Per Diem) positions to provide exceptional speech therapy services in our skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility.
Our in-house therapy team is committed to helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function while maximizing independence and quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.
- Provide skilled speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
- Assess and treat communication disorders, cognitive impairments, dysphagia, and speech and language deficits.
- Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, cognitive techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if eligible.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
