Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Soldador (Welder) to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding and fabrication tasks to support the integrity and safety of our manufacturing and building infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure that all welded structures meet quality standards, adhere to safety protocols, and support the seamless operation of our facilities. Duties
- Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding on different materials including steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
- Conduct electrical work related to welding equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring all tools and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and other facilities systems as needed.
- Use hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, ohmmeters, schematics, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders and track maintenance activities.
- Assist with building interior maintenance including carpentry, painting (residential or maintenance painting), and general facilities upkeep.
- Supervise or assist with team projects related to facilities maintenance, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding with knowledge of various techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc welding; certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, CMMS software, and electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Excellent hand tool skills along with experience in facilities equipment maintenance including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations).
- Knowledge of plumbing systems maintenance and repair as well as residential painting techniques.
- Supervising or leadership experience is desirable for team coordination roles.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Electrical experience combined with HVAC knowledge enhances versatility in this role.
- Ability to work safely following all safety protocols related to welding, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
