Job Title: PSC Sports Fields Crew/General Grounds Maintenance
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Division: Part of the Parks Department staff under the direction of the Superintendent of Parks
Classification: Full-Time Seasonal, Hourly
The Pekin Park District is hiring full-time seasonal personnel for the position of Baseball Crew & General Grounds Maintenance. The Baseball Crew is responsible for prepping the ballfields, soccer fields, and football fields at Pekin Park Sports Complex for baseball and softball. This involves dragging the infield with motorized infield groomer, setting bases, setting soccer goals, and striping the field & foul lines. Additional duties include maintaining structural facilities, cleaning & stocking restrooms, irrigation repair, equipment maintenance, mowing, trimming the grass along the outfields, picking up branches and garbage, and various other duties associated with park maintenance. Availability to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed is a requirement for this position.

Skills and Abilities Required:
-Work independently and as a team member, as assigned
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel, other agencies, and the public
-Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Park District
-Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
-Good physical condition, sufficient strength, and mobility required.
-Valid Illinois state driver license with a clean driving record – preferred but not required
