We are GROWING and looking for an individual to serve as a clinic lead with a sports focused orthopaedic surgeon in Baldwin County.
Position Summary
The Certified Athletic Trainer serves as the clinical lead for the outpatient clinic, providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, injections, casting, splinting, and durable medical equipment (DME) fitting.
- Perform patient triage, obtain medical histories, document vital signs, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Coordinate clinic workflow and patient scheduling to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, treatment plans, rehabilitation exercises, and post-procedure care.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, follow-up appointments as well as scheduling surgeries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
- Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
- Current state Athletic Trainer licensure (as required).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous clinical or orthopedic experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
