Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize routes, meet delivery schedules, and adapt to traffic or road conditions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each shift.
- Document all deliveries accurately in logs, including route details, cargo specifics, and any incidents encountered during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transportation.
- Home every night.
- Weekends included with 2 consecutive days off.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers and trucks with manual transmissions is essential.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
