SST (Support Services Technician)
Position Summary
The SST provides direct support services in a behavioral health residential setting by assisting with consumer care, monitoring treatment progress, completing documentation, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. This role works closely with clinical staff to support daily operations and consumer success.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer Care & Clinical Support
Conduct consumer intakes and assist with treatment planning
Monitor treatment goals and consumer progress
Observe consumers taking prescribed and PRN medications
Conduct room checks, rounds, and routine monitoring throughout shifts
Administer drug screens and accurately document results
Provide therapeutic and emotional support under clinical supervision
Assist with Family Day activities and consumer transportation
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate daily documentation and consumer records
Audit charts and ensure compliance with agency standards
Receive and communicate shift reports effectively
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies
Report incidents, concerns, and safety issues promptly
Facility & Operational Support
Ensure proper shift coverage, including weekends as needed
Conduct site safety inspections and maintain facility standards
Complete work orders, service requests, and vehicle utilization logs
Record refrigerator temperatures and other required compliance checks
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications-
High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of office experience, OR an Associate’s Degree
Experience working with women and children preferred
One (1) year of experience in social services, residential/group home settings, direct care, or basic nursing procedures preferred
Coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Nursing, Education, or a related field is a plus
Valid driver’s license required
Additional Requirements-
Must successfully complete the Georgia DBHDD Background Check

Pay: $12.00 per hour
