American Filter Manufacturing (AFM), part of the growing HCI Filtration family of companies, is seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead our manufacturing operations in Rensselaer, Indiana. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coaching, developing, and supporting production employees while ensuring daily operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with our quality standards.

What You'll Do
As a Production Supervisor, you will serve as the primary frontline leader for production employees and partner closely with the Production Manager to ensure daily production goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to production employees
- Promote a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture
- Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve skills and performance
- Manage attendance, staffing levels, schedules, and overtime assignments
- Conduct performance coaching and support corrective action processes when necessary
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations
- Monitor daily production activities for safety, quality, and efficiency
- Communicate production priorities, goals, and expectations to employees
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational enhancements
- Reinforce quality standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
- Identify and escalate production, quality, and safety concerns
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Conduct safety observations and help foster a strong safety culture
- Serve as a communication link between employees and leadership
- Lead shift meetings and support employee engagement initiatives
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience
- Strong leadership and employee development skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience
- Experience managing employee performance and workplace expectations
- Knowledge of quality systems, process controls, and manufacturing standards
- Experience participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Work Environment
This position is based primarily on the production floor and requires frequent interaction with employees, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Candidates should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
