Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning operations to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, floor care, and overall cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus; additional skills such as residential painting or porter experience are advantageous.
