Position Summary
Zachary Confections is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to join our Shipping Department. This role supports the movement, storage, staging, and tracking of finished goods, work in progress, raw materials, and warehouse inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, comfortable using warehouse systems, and able to work well with team members across departments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Pick, stage, load, and unload finished products and raw materials
- Stock and maintain warehouse and kitchen inventories
- Prepare finished goods and work-in-process (WIP) for warehouse storage, including shrink wrapping
- Enter inventory, finished goods, and WIP into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts
- Communicate effectively with operators and team members across departments
- Assist other departments as needed
Qualifications
- Forklift trained/certified or ability to become certified within 30 days of hire
- Good mathematical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and inventory systems
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge and use of safe lifting techniques
- Excellent attendance and dependability required
- Ability to work month-end Saturdays and occasional overtime as needed
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- This position requires month-end Saturdays and occasional overtime based on business needs
