Overview
The Marketing & Communication Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing, communications, and brand development initiatives that increase awareness of Good Samaritan Inn, engage community partners, and drive support for its programs. This role oversees all marketing efforts, including digital, print, social media, and website design, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging content across social media, email campaigns, website, and print materials to our mission and impact.
- Monitor and respond to social media messages and comments and actively engage with partner organization content through highlights, reactions, comments, and resharing
- Design visually compelling materials for events, programs, and campaigns using Canva or similar tools, ensuring brand consistency.
- Capture, curate, and organize photos, videos, and stories that highlight program outcomes, community engagement, and organizational impact.
- Monitor volunteer calendar for corporate and civic volunteer days, ensuring recognition and engagement of corporate and civic partners.
- Maintain and track photo/video release waivers for all content usage.
- Ensure all communications reflect cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
- Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Assist Outreach Director with coordination of outreach activities
- Prepare and distribute press releases and media materials
- Maintain a calendar of marketing, outreach, and press deadlines
- Build and maintain relationships with local media
- Create thank-you cards
- Create and send 3 annual donor solicitations
- Create annual corporate sponsorship packet
- Assist in promoting special events and campaigns
- Help monitor engagement and collect feedback for strategy improvements
- Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings as assigned 1%
- Maintain list of partners and contact information
- Develop and maintain documented process and procedures
- Update business cards, organization chart, and other operational marketing materials
- Create Annual Report
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or related field, or 5 or more years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
- Strong understanding of branding, digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation.
- Proficiency with Canva and/or other design tools.
- Experience working in or with nonprofit or community-based organizations preferred
- Ability to create compelling messaging, stories, and visual content to engage donors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Knowledge of website content management, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
- Photography skills required
- Videography skills preferred
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
