Job Title: Wood & Stucco Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on exterior repair and refurbishment work at a residential complex, including patching stucco, replacing damaged wood, and performing light painting. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to restore building exteriors and help prepare units for occupancy while working closely with a teammate.
Responsibilities

Patch and repair exterior stucco surfaces to a clean, durable finish.

Remove and replace damaged or deteriorated exterior wood components as needed.

Perform light painting and paint preparation on repaired areas to ensure a consistent appearance.

Carry out both rough and finish carpentry tasks related to exterior wood repairs.

Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and finishing materials.

Measure materials accurately with tape measures to support precise cuts and installations.

Assist with cabinetry-related tasks when required as part of unit refurbishment.

Inspect exterior areas for damage and determine appropriate repair methods.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.

Collaborate with a teammate to refurbish vacant apartments efficiently and on schedule.

Follow all safety procedures and site guidelines while working on exterior and interior areas.

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any issues encountered.
Essential Skills

Experience with wood and stucco repairs, including patching and replacement.

Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for carpentry and repair work.

Ability to perform rough carpentry tasks such as framing, cutting, and installing wood components.

Ability to perform finish carpentry tasks to achieve clean, professional results.

Competence with paint preparation, including surface cleaning, sanding, and masking.

Skill using a tape measure accurately for layout and cutting.

Basic understanding of cabinetry work in the context of apartment refurbishment.

Strong willingness to learn new techniques and follow guidance.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift role, Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You work primarily in teams of two refurbishing vacant apartments and performing exterior repairs on the complex. The environment involves regular use of hand and power tools, tape measures, and materials for wood, stucco, and paint preparation. Work is performed both outdoors on building exteriors and indoors within apartment units, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and maintaining a tidy work area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
