We are seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Director to lead the daily operations of our Annex campus, which serves our Infant and Toddler communities.
Position Summary
The Associate Director is a key member of the school's leadership team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Annex campus. Reporting directly to the Director and the Head of School, this role provides leadership and support to faculty, partners closely with families, and ensures that our Infant and Toddler programs operate with excellence while maintaining fidelity to Montessori principles and Massachusetts EEC regulations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced early childhood leader who is organized, collaborative, and passionate about creating an exceptional experience for children, families, and staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesSchool Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the Annex campus, ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Support the implementation of Montessori practices and maintain high program quality.
- Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and school policies.
- Manage campus operations, supplies, and facility needs in collaboration with the Director and the Head of School.
- Assist with emergency preparedness, health and safety procedures, and licensing documentation.
Faculty Leadership
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support for Infant and Toddler teaching teams.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and retaining exceptional staff.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide meaningful feedback to support professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and respectful team culture.
Family Engagement & Admissions
- Build strong relationships with current and prospective families.
- Conduct school tours and support the admissions and enrollment process.
- Partner with families to ensure excellent communication and a positive school experience.
- Address parent questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Support staffing schedules and record keeping.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records.
- Assist with purchasing and inventory management.
- Partner with the Head of School on community events, marketing initiatives, and parent education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
- Montessori credential preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or administrative experience in an early childhood setting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Montessori environment preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop educators.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Passion for Montessori education and a commitment to supporting children, families, and educators.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
