As we expand our operations, we are excited to announce the opening of a cutting-edge repair facility in Waxahachie, TX. To support our commitment to excellence in maintenance and service, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Wash Bay Attendant to join our team.
Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of Class 8 sleepers and day cabs are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean Class 8 trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles efficiently and effectively.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, including exteriors, interiors, and undercarriages.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to remove dirt, grease, and grime from vehicle surfaces.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on washing equipment, such as refilling soap and water tanks and conducting routine inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the wash bay area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the wash bay area and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate vehicle cleaning schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including vehicle detailing and general maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in the transportation industry encouraged
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
