Burns School of Medicine, Department of PediatricsLocation: Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health CenterSalary: Not DisplayedDate Posted: 5/18/2026Closing Date: 6/02/2026Salary Information: Commensurate with qualifications and experienceMonthly Type: 11 monthTenure Track: Non TenureFull Time/Part Time: Part Time - Full Time Equivalency: 0.05 Temporary/Permanent: Temporary- Not to Exceed: June 30, 2027Other Conditions: On private funds, part-time with possibility of becoming full-time, annually renewable depending on performance and/or funding, to begin approximately July 2026, subject to position clearance and availability of funds.Duties & Responsibilities: •Conduct health related research as part of the project team for externally and internally-funded grants•Apply for externally funded grants that address critical health issues in Hawai'i•Responsible for teaching residents, medical students and community physicians on community-based pediatrics and research.•Serve as resource person in their area of specialization and give lectures or conferences/colloquia upon request.•Serve on Departmental and/or University committees within their scope of work.•Serve as a community liaison to nutrition researchers as they learn more about community-engaged and participatory research•Perform related tasks as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: •M.D. or D.O. degree from a medical school of recognized standing.•Board certified (within 7 years) or an active board candidate for certification in Pediatrics.•Must have current Hawaii Medical License or have Hawaii medical license by date of hire.•Demonstrated ability in teaching, research and patient care.•Professionalism in meeting and conferring with others.Desirable Qualifications: •Three or more years of prior experience as ambulatory pediatric care associated with residency training program.•Experience in community-participatory research Pay range: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
