Urgently Hiring Companion for Brookhaven location MWF 11-4!! We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Sitter to provide essential support and companionship, help around the house and social engagement to individuals in need. We need CNA's to assist with daily activities and personal care. These roles offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, surgery or stroke. As a Companion Sitter, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attentive care will foster a positive environment that promotes independence and dignity for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with mobility support
- Monitor and report on patients’ conditions.
- Give Medication Reminders.
- Provide companionship by engaging clients in meaningful activities, conversation, and social interaction
- Ensure patient safety through assistance through use of Gait belt.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans and address specific needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light cleaning, meal preparation, and adhering to infection control standards
- Transportation to appointments and physical therapy required.
Skills
- Proven experience working in home care environments
- Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and supporting patients with cognitive disabilities
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient observation techniques, and first aid protocols including CPR and basic life support (BLS)
- Ability to manage behavior management strategies and conflict resolution with sensitivity and professionalism
- Excellent caregiver communication skills to coordinate with team members and family members effectivel
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as MS, autism or intellectual disabilities

Pay: $17.00 per hour
