Position Summary:
The successful candidate will possess attention to detail required to observe differences in names of closely related pharmaceuticals. The Purchasing Technician must be able to balance high volume workload with deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and demonstrate ability to accomplish additional duties with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include daily shelving of the pharmaceutical order, rotating stock in automated dispensing cabinets to minimize expiring pharmaceuticals and gathering stock to be directed to other hospitals. Other responsibilities include monthly review of pharmacy stock for out of date pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications:
PTCB Certified or within 6 months of hire
