This position specializes in a Setting 4 special education program, serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD). With a focus on direct intervention and collaboration, the role involves no case management duties, allowing you to concentrate on therapeutic delivery and meaningful student progress.
Key Qualifications:
- Active MN Department of Education SLP license required
- Will consider both SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY credentials
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy
- Familiarity with ASD, DCD, and EBD populations preferred
- Effective communication skills and collaborative approach
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-8 students in a specialized setting
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on student needs
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and support staff
- Maintain detailed session notes and contribute to progress monitoring
- Participate in team meetings and IEP reviews, providing clinical input (without case management responsibility)
- Engage in ongoing professional development
