American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active WV or compact RN license.

Hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit — an expanding unit
-
Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6, subject to fluctuation with census and call-ins

Meditech EMR in use
-
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48 schedule (3x12 one week, 4x12 the next)

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope of practice is required

Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Active WV or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — no exceptions

Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required

Driver's license required — address must match permanent address

2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge Nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the last year

Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Orientation is conducted bi-weekly

Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission

Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment

Travelers who have worked at this system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return

Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same unit or shift
