Job Purpose: Efficiently run all presses; perform advanced press troubleshooting ability; able to run press unsupervised; exhibits the ability to work with customers on press OK’s, possesses a strong understanding in all areas of the commercial printing process.
Scope: Efficiently runs all types of press work on all presses while meeting company performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements.

- Proficiently set up and operate any press; must be able to operate all presses if needed
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently run the press unsupervised
- Able to consistently output a product that meets or exceeds the required specifications.

- Works effectively as a team member and communicates well with supervision and other employees
- Possesses advanced troubleshooting ability
- Able to perform routine preventive maintenance and support the Maintenance Department with repairs.
- Proactively work with maintenance, supervision and other pressroom employees to ensure optimum machine maintenance and efficiency
- Provide training and support to Press Operator B
- Exhibits the ability to train press helpers
- Possesses a strong understanding of all facets of the commercial printing process
- Ability to adjust the schedule to meet a deadline if necessary
- Possess basic math skills
- Able to read a ruler
- Monitors and manages material usage to allocated quantities
- Responsible for the accurate data collection of time, material usage and location movements in MIS system.

Qualifications:
Education: OJT
Experience In: >2 years’ experience with offset print operations
§ Must possess strong problem solving/decision-making skills.
Technical Skills
§ Possesses advanced press troubleshooting ability
§ Computer literate
§ Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals)
§ Ability to effectively use color management tools and software.

Physical Requirements:
§ Must be able to sit, stand, climb or kneel as required.
§ Must have visual acuity necessary to read materials required to complete job tasks. This may include but is not limited to: video display terminals, product labels and production schedules.
§ Must have the ability to move from place to place within the building.
§ Must be able to complete repetitive motion of hands and arms to input/retrieve information from computer.
§ Must be able to bend/reach to get materials from floor, high and low shelves.
§ Must be able to repeatedly lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Due the nature of print and print customer needs, problem solving and decision making during the production process is necessary on a regular basis.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
