This position is open to the public and all current City employees covered under the City’s collective bargaining agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) – BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

Under direction, assists in the performance of specialized administrative support duties, and develops and implements management methods to improve organizational performance; and perform related duties as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Review licensing and compliance documentation from delegate agencies
- Follow up communication with delegate on required items for contracting
- Analytical review of contracting data for executive management reporting
- Development of meeting events and management of calendar
- Supporting training and technical assistance sessions
- Communication to internal and external contacts
- Data management of contract data in contract management system
- Organization and filing of IGA, MOU and any non-delegate contracts
- Compile status reports for reporting to executive management
- Delivery and filing of signed agreements by the Commissioner
- Coordination of communication and activities with the Contracts, IT and Programmatic Monitoring Units.
- Reviews and analyzes departmental policies and procedures such as recording keeping methods, personnel requirements and performance standards.
- In order to increase operating efficiency; develops, implements and monitors departmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and provides administrative support in departmental operations.
- Develops plans for long-term organizational goals.
- Plans and coordinates management activities to ensure the efficient operation of the executive office.
- Communicates critical matters to appropriate departmental staff.
- Acts a liaison for management at meetings, committees and field assignments as needed.
- Uses a personal computer or related office equipment to prepare reports and correspondence on departmental operations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, plus one (1) year of administrative experience
Should the above criteria not be fulfilled, the following options are acceptable:
- Five (5) years of administrative work experience
- Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a directly related field, plus three (3) years of administrative work experience
Selection Criteria
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include an assessment as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview process will be selected.
