- Collect all waste carts from Office areas, Web Pressroom, Digital Print areas (Canons, Ricohs, Commercial Ricohs), Flat cutter, and Bindery areas on a regular basis during the day.
- Shred and bale all paper waste collected each area daily.
- Collect all partial “butt” rolls from the Web Pressroom daily and strip off all paper into the shredder/baler. Place empty cores in the waste dumpster.
- Maintain a clean and orderly Baler Room at all times to ensure a safe environment.
- Move completed bales into position in the bale storage area, using three bales high as a standard height.
- Maintain Baler and blower fans by using compressed air to remove waste paper and dust.
- Empty dust collection bags weekly and dispose of contents.
- Preform light preventative maintenance and clean out on the Baler and the Shredder.
- Inform management of any mechanical or maintenance issues.
- Make sure the Shredder is turned off when not in use to prevent fire hazard.
- Operate a forklift and electric or manual pallet jack as needed.
- Cross-train in Web Pressroom and Bindery area to develop skills such as Foil Stamping Operator and building Bounce-back inventory items.
