Customer Support Specialist:
The Support Team is a very valuable part of the company and our direct contact with users of the software. Don't worry, you don't need programming or IT knowledge for this job. Support Team members work with our users to make sure they're getting the most out of our software by answering their questions about how it works and testing new changes before they're released. They take the insight they receive while answering customer questions to help drive our development agenda and make sure that new features meet user expectations.
After training, the chosen candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Responding to customer inquiries via an online messaging system (no phone support).
- Testing new changes to the software before they're released to the public.
- Providing customers with online demonstrations and training. Note that this isn't a sales position; instead you're simply showing prospective clients around the features and helping them make an educated decision on whether Volgistics will be a good fit for their needs.
- Updating online help documentation.
To succeed in this role, candidates should:
- Demonstrate business writing skills and be a proficient typist.
- Work well on a team and independently.
- Be patient, understanding, and empathetic to customer's needs.
This is a full-time in-person position. Successful candidates will be in the office during the day. Most of the hours are worked between 9am to 5pm weekdays. Some nights and weekends may be required, but are worked from home and are typically coveted among the staff due to their easy-going/on call overtime nature. Salary starts at $18/hour during the initial training phase of learning how the software works, typically lasting a few months. After training, salary increases to $19/hour and you'll have the option for additional overtime and salary raise opportunities.
