We proudly offer premium Hunter Douglas blinds and shutters and work directly with leading wallcovering distributors to bring elegant and innovative design solutions into our customers’ homes.
We are currently seeking a full-time Window Treatment & Wallcovering Sales Consultant / Designer to join our team in the Salt Lake City area.
This role is perfect for a motivated individual who enjoys working with people, has an eye for design, and takes pride in guiding customers through the process of transforming their homes.
Position Overview
The Sales Consultant / Designer will work with customers both in our Salt Lake City showroom and in their homes to design and recommend custom window treatments and wallcoverings that fit their style, needs, and lifestyle.
This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, as you will be representing Utah Blinds Gallery directly in our clients’ homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers in our showroom and in their homes to consult on Hunter Douglas blinds, shutters, and custom wallcoverings
- Guide clients through product selections including styles, fabrics, colors, and features
- Provide expert recommendations based on design preferences and functionality
- Build relationships with homeowners, designers, builders, and real estate professionals
- Coordinate measurements and installations with our installation team
- Track and manage customer orders and project details
- Maintain clear communication with customers and team members
- Use company-provided Apple iPad and software systems to manage projects and orders
- Represent Utah Blinds Gallery with professionalism and exceptional customer care
Ideal Candidate
- Self-motivated with strong sales instincts and closing ability

- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and appointments

- Passion for design and helping customers create beautiful spaces
Experience
- Previous experience in window treatments or Hunter Douglas products preferred (training available)
- Background or interest in interior design is highly desirable
- Experience in sales, design consultation, or home services is a plus
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to customer homes
- Comfortable working with Apple devices and digital tools
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Strong professionalism when working inside customers’ homes

Compensation
- Hourly base pay + commission
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Full-time position
- The starting base salary is $45,000 per year. Strong performers earn $60,000 – $80,000+ annually through commissions
