Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that residential and commercial properties are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial services, residential cleaning, and basic facilities maintenance, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities include performing routine and deep cleaning of residential homes and common areas, completing minor maintenance tasks, and helping create clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial and residential settings.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on facilities to identify any necessary repairs or upkeep.
- Manage floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain the appearance of floors.
- Clean and disinfect countertops, sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, and fixtures.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the aesthetics of the facility.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Respond to residential maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, including trash removal and basic landscaping duties as needed.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is essential.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks effectively is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
