About the shop
Final Touch Auto Works is a premium automotive appearance shop in St. Louis Park. We do window tint, ceramic coating, paint protection film, and detailing — and we hold a high bar on every car that leaves the door. We're looking for an experienced window film installer who can run their own work start to finish and keep that bar high without someone over their shoulder.
This is not an entry-level role, and we are not looking to train.
What you'll do
- Install automotive window film on a full range of vehicles — cars, trucks, and SUVs — to a clean, finished standard
- Measure, pattern-cut, and apply film with precision on every vehicle (plotter or hand-cut)
- Remove old film and adhesive and fully prep glass — clean, de-contaminate, and prime before install
- Heat-form and shrink film to curved glass for a tight, edge-perfect fit
- Inspect each vehicle before you start, and flag any existing damage or defects to the owner before work begins
- Run your own final QC — no bubbles, no contamination, clean edges, every time
- Take on other production work as assigned — including ceramic coating installs
- Direct and work alongside helpers
- Keep your bay, tools, and film inventory clean, organized, and job-ready
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of professional automotive window tint experience (required)
- Fully independent on pattern cutting, prep, install, and QC — you can run a job solo but will have a helper on hand
- Mechanical aptitude and confident with hand tools and a plotter
- A consistent track record of clean, high-quality work and sharp attention to detail
- Valid driver's license (required), clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Dependable, takes ownership, and works well on a team
Physical requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet through the shift
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and getting in and out of vehicles repeatedly
Compensation & schedule
- Base pay + commission
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility on hours when needed)
- Fully climate-controlled shop — you'll stay cool all summer, no sweating it out in a hot garage
- Reports directly to the owner
Pay: $25.00 - $30.68 per hour
