Join SAGE San Francisco as a Kennel Assistant and play an essential role in supporting exceptional patient care. Working alongside veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and support staff, you'll help ensure a clean, safe, and organized hospital while providing compassionate care to hospitalized pets in one of Northern California's premier specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals.

As a Kennel Assistant, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced specialty hospital while supporting patients, clients, and the medical team every day.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment, including kennels, treatment areas, laundry, and dishwashing.

Provide basic patient care, including feeding and monitoring hospitalized patients.

Clean, stock, and organize treatment and exam rooms.

Support veterinarians and technicians with patient care and hospital operations as directed.

Safely handle and restrain animal patients using appropriate techniques.

Follow hospital protocols to maintain a sanitary and safe environment.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

Basic knowledge of animal care, handling, and restraint techniques.

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or boarding facility preferred but not required.
