Nurse - LVN (Regular Part-Time, Hourly)

Pay Rate: $38.46 to $38.85 per hour plus $3.00 per hour differential for overnight shifts
Licensure: Current California LVN/LPT license required and must be kept current and in good standing during employment
Certification: BLS certification required and must be kept current throughout employment
As a Nurse - LVN, you will be part of a team that assesses clients mental and physical health and develops treatment plans.
- Consult with psychiatrist and other health professionals as well as manage medications.
- Coordinate care with outside providers to assist in a long-term plan for obtaining medications and maintain care in the community for both mental and physical health.
- Safely store and handle medications and ensure the proper documentation is completed.
- Provide medication support services, which ensure optimal outcomes for your clients.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Ability to physically and mentally assist in emergency situations is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
- This program is housed in a two-story building that does not have an elevator. Ability to navigate stairs is required.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Our Crisis Centers are Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) programs (Del Sur Crisis Center, Esperanza Crisis Center, Halcyon Crisis Center, Jary Barreto Crisis Center, New Vistas Crisis Center, Turning Point Crisis Center and Vista Balboa Crisis Center) that provide intensive, community-based crisis residential services for adults throughout San Diego County. They deliver a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis of such magnitude so as not to be manageable on an outpatient basis. Their services are provided in a home-like environment that specializes in the psychosocial rehabilitation of each individual.
