Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our long-term care, assisted living, and home health environments. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative team culture. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive quality improvement initiatives, manage nursing staff, and uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence across multiple care settings.
Duties
- Provide strategic leadership for nursing services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards such as Medicare and long-term care regulations
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for residents and patients, including memory care and hospice care programs
- Manage nurse management teams, supervising clinical staff across shifts to maintain optimal staffing levels and patient care quality
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, medical records management, documentation review, and EMR/EHR systems to safeguard patient information and streamline clinical workflows
- Lead regulatory audits and inspections, maintaining rigorous adherence to state and federal guidelines while implementing corrective actions as needed
- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for nursing staff to enhance skills in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and nursing best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident’s <PERSON>; care plans, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven nursing leadership experience in long-term care facilities or assisted living environments with a strong background in nursing administration and supervision
- Extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards
- Demonstrated expertise in managing care facility teams within assisted living, home health agencies, or hospice settings
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical records management and patient documentation review
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care best practices across diverse healthcare settings
- Exceptional management skills with experience supervising nurses and clinical staff across shifts in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or higher preferred; valid RN license in applicable state(s)
