PCU RN – Sarasota, FL
Days & Nights | 11-Week Contract | August Start Dates
Weekly Pay:
Travel: $2,300/week – 36 hours
Local: $2,000/week – $55/hr OT: $83/hr
Start Dates: 8/17 or 8/31
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Shift: Days or Nights
Unit: General Cardiac PCU
Beds: 24
Patient Population: Adults 18+
Ratios:
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in PCU or a comparable specialty
- Florida RN license required
- AHA BLS/CPR required
- AHA ACLS required
- Must be comfortable independently managing patients in a PCU setting
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation experience
- Experience with IV cardiac medications, including Cardizem and Amiodarone
- Rapid Response experience preferred
- Specialty certification preferred

- Cardiac patients
- CHF
- Chest pain
- Arrhythmias and syncope
- Post-cath procedures
- Pacemakers
- Angiography
- Cardioversions
- Ablations
- Acute heart failure
- Acute myocardial infarction
- Cardiac medication and drip management
Additional Details:
- No ventilator experience required
- Dedicated Charge Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist and Case Manager support
- Tech-to-patient ratio: Days 8–10:1 | Nights 10–12:1
- Day shift: On call until 1:00 PM
- Night shift: On call until midnight
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- No RTO/time-off requests can be accommodated during the contract
