Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive carpentry expertise to deliver top-quality craftsmanship. Your proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, handling hand and power tools, and working safely on construction sites will ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. Must have your own tools and be able to work independently.
Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, door hanging, fixture installation, and cabinetry work with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, assemble, and install various building components.
- Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in construction site activities while maintaining safety protocols for power tool safety and overall site safety.
- Fabricate custom components and perform woodworking tasks using traditional methods.
- Assist with remodeling projects by installing flooring, tiles, drywall, plastering surfaces, and applying paint or caulking for finishing touches.
- Support restoration efforts by mold remediation, water damage repair, siding replacement, and general handyman services.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical schematics and ensure all work aligns with construction plans and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry or related fields within the construction or restoration industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC and heavy machinery used in construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures including power tool safety practices is essential.
- Ability to lift heavy materials regularly while maintaining proper safety techniques.
- Prior experience in water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; able to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and interpreting complex technical instructions.
