American Traveler is hiring a Mobile MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and proficiency with Siemens equipment.

Outpatient clinic setting in a mobile MRI unit

Performs high-quality MRI examinations across a range of exam types including general MRI, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI

Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 (10:30 AM–9:00 PM) and 3x12 (8:30 AM–9:00 PM) schedules may also be considered

Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; on Saturday weeks, four weekday shifts are worked instead of five, maintaining a 40-hour week

May float between two clinic locations

Charting in Epic; experience preferred

Sectra experience preferred

Siemens MRI equipment experience required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

BLS (AHA) required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

A personal radiation badge must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers

Performs MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation

Reports to the site supervisor and manager of radiology

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on the unit's scheduling needs

Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date

Teal top and black pants scrubs required

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
