Store Manager - Exclusive Furniture: Overview
As Exclusive Furniture Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the entire store team. You and your team will drive sales by driving a strong customer-centric, fun and engaging culture. All store-wide activities related to selling, merchandising, store maintenance, expense management, shortage prevention and sales support functions are under your direction. The store manager will develop a team of associates through coaching, follow up and recognition. Perform other duties as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
- Drive sales by driving a customer-centric, fun and engaging culture
- Demonstrates desired behaviors for staff including driving sales, handling difficult and/or complicated sales, cash management, inventory, and follow-up with customers
- Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming
- Develop team of executives and associates through coaching, follow-up and recognition
- Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control;
- Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales;
- Effectively communicate merchandise needs to the Director of Operations
- Effectively communicate visual needs to the District Visual Manager
- Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
- Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
- Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues;
- Customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;
- Coach direct report managers using the weekly Scorecard metrics
- Celebrate and recognize individual and team success
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: A minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, Furniture experience preferred.
Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong listening, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent ability to interpret instructional documents, such as reports and procedure manuals. Ability to influence at all levels, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in driving successful management strategies
Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to understand key metrics including sales, profitability, shortage calculations and retail math.
Reasoning Ability: Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.
Physical Demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours. Involves lifting at least 50 lbs. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Optical abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Other Skills: Must be able to function as part of a team and collaborate with team members. Possess a strong sense of urgency. Must enjoy meeting and interacting with customers. Possess a thirst for learning. Should be comfortable with the use of computers and frequent use of basic office equipment.
Work Hours: Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays, based on department and store/company needs.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Application Question(s):
- All managers and sales teams work 9-9 on Saturday and 10-7 on Sunday every weekend. 2 days of during the week. Are you able to work weekends?
