Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to large-scale commercial builds. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for applying plaster and stucco finishes, assisting with masonry work, and supporting various construction activities to ensure timely project completion. This position is paid and ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in the construction industry while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and setting up scaffolding or protective coverings to ensure optimal conditions for plastering and masonry work
- Apply plaster, stucco, or other finishing materials accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
- Assist with rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing tasks to support structural integrity
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprint specifications to execute tasks correctly
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for building material installation, tile laying, and masonry work
- Support masonry activities such as bricklaying, stone masonry, mortar work, and metal stud framing as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring proper handling of materials and tools
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on plastering, masonry, or related trades
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with concrete masonry, stucco application, tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, and building material installation
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, stone masonry, and masonry scaffold building
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Understanding of safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and follow detailed instructions for renovation or new build projects
