Position Overview:
As a Carpenter at M.E.I.D. Construction, you will play a crucial role in bringing our projects to life. From framing and finishing to custom installations, your expertise will help us create structures that stand the test of time. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, laminate, and other materials
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and countertops
- Perform precision woodworking with hand and power tools
- Ensure work is completed according to safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to achieve project goals
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in the construction industry
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using carpentry tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- OSHA certification and trade school diploma are advantageous
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
