Job Summary
Fastech Consulting Engineering is a Civil Engineering firm. We have an immediate need for Construction Inspector for our New Jersey office.
Responsibilities and Duties
Construction Inspector primary duties include:
- Carry out construction inspection assignments
- Interface with the Contractor and make sure that all construction is done according to the plan and specification
- Coordinate with utility companies that may have facilities within the job site
- Coordinate with and have knowledge of requirements of regulatory agencies
- Identify problems and propose solutions
- Utilize standard quantity recording and reporting procedures
- Able to handle overall inspection of small projects with limited direction/instruction from supervisor. Projects to be in North Jersey.
Qualifications and Skills
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited college with 1-5 years of experience in Construction Inspection
- Experience with Streetscape projects is a plus
- Knowledge of ADA curb ramp is a must
- Strong written, oral, communication, organizational skills will be required
- Valid driver licensed required. Must have a car
- Expert in MS Word and MS Excel
