Mental Health Front Office Receptionist

About Binnacle Psychiatry and ESKETAMINE:
We are looking for a part-time to full time front office receptionist for a six to seven provider outpatient psychiatry and therapy office. Prior work experience in a medical office or a mental health care setting is a plus, but not required. As a receptionist you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our patients and assisting with administrative tasks. Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Your Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Delivering excellent customer service to patients, patient families and our support vendors.
- Answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, returning patient calls, triaging patient questions.
- Complying with various patient HIPAA requirements (we will train).
- Screening new patients to determine if they are appropriate for this practice (we will train).
- Scheduling patient appointments and backfilling appointments using our electronic medical record system.
- Ensuring that new patients fill out the appropriate paperwork.
- Taking cash, check or credit card payments and recording them in the computer.
- Entering patient demographics into our electronic medical record system.
- Scanning and entering insurance cards and IDs into our electronic medical record.
- Responding and dispositioning patient emails and faxes to provider, staff, insurance organizations or billing.
- Measuring patient vital signs with our automated equipment (we will train).
- Performing simple medical treatments (assuming a willingness) after appropriate training and certification.
- Coordinating per-authorizations for clinical services (we will train).
- Responding and submitting pharmacy requests for patients based upon provider directions.
- Scanning, faxing, and uploading/downloading documents into and out of our electronic medical record system.
- Dealing with all the other assorted and varied tasks associated with running a mental health clinic front office.
- Working as part of a team.

Your Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a medical, dental or ophthalmic office preferred
- Mental Health experience desired but not required.
- Solid computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Drive, Adobe Reader, Scanning Software, Medical Record Systems and willingness to learn others
- A background in psychology or social sciences is encouraged but not required
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think quickly and independently is recommended.
