Shattuck St. Mary’s, an independent college preparatory boarding/day school (grades 6-12) in Faribault, Minnesota, is seeking an energetic individual to fill its Assistant Figure Skating Coach position within the Figure Skating Signature Program.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in programming, promoting, administering a comprehensive figure skating program, including group & private lesson instruction, ice shows, special events, competition travel, and summer camps. Perform weeknight/weekend duty as standard for a boarding school. Candidate must be able to work in a team coaching environment. Open immediately, starting salary $30,600 plus room and board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree: Experience may offset lack of college degree.
- Education/Biomechanics/Dance/Business, or closely related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years coaching private individual lessons and group instruction
- Coach basic skating skills through Senior level and LTS
- Knowledge of IJS Scoring System
- Knowledge of Off Ice Training; Strength & Conditioning, Yoga and Dance
- Choreography: competitive, test and show programs
- Must be USFS member and pursuing ratings
- Work collaboratively with faculty, students, and parents
