Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting overall restaurant operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with food preparation, food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations during transactions
- Experience in fast food or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus
- Skills in upselling and sales techniques to promote menu items effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
