American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float position requiring 3 years of experience and comfort caring for occasional critical care patients.

Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
-
Position functions as a Med/Surg float role
-
Must be comfortable caring for occasional critical care patients
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15
-
Required to work every other weekend (EOW)

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals

Expect to work some holidays during the assignment

Active RN license in South Carolina (Standard or Compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

Two supervisory references required for consideration

Copy of certifications required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Local candidates accepted at the local rate

Former permanent staff must have separated from the facility for at least 5 years before becoming eligible to return as a traveler

RTO requests should be kept to a minimum, with no time off requested during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks during the assignment

Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
