Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bench Technician to join our dynamic team.
The Build Room Technician is responsible for assembling, refurbishing, testing, and preparing coffee, water, and beverage equipment for customer installations. This position ensures all equipment meets company quality standards prior to shipment while maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble, refurbish, inspect, and test coffee, water, and beverage equipment according to company standards.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure equipment is clean, fully functional, and installation-ready.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues identified during the build and testing process.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment builds, repairs, testing, and inventory usage.
- Prepare equipment, parts, and accessories for delivery or installation, ensuring all required components are included.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe build room bench while following company safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Service, Warehouse, and Operations teams to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing components is preferred but Not Required
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing 15–50 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
