Maintenance Technician - Entry Level
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 7:00pm, sometimes Friday
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician’s (Entry Level) role is to assist in routine equipment care and visual inspections to ensure optimal performance across our facility. This role is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical experience who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine visual inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Identify and report signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Grease bearings and oil mechanical components as scheduled or discovered based on inspections.
- Changes oil in machine reservoirs; cleans and replaces oil filters.
- Ensures that automatic lubrication equipment operates correctly, replacing empty drums or malfunctioning lines.
- Fills automatic dispensers, oil cans, and oil cups.
- Completes logs, reports, or other documentation related to the installation, replacement, modification, or changing of machine parts and attachments.
- Removes superfluous oil and grease from machinery, tools, and floor.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. This may include facility maintenance or other duties.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Assist senior technicians with repairs and equipment servicing.
- Document maintenance activities and inspection findings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Perform other related duties that may be assigned or associated with the responsibility of the position.

Education & Experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with tools and equipment
- Math skills at a high school level
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical diploma preferred
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week including weekends when necessary
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of standing
- Ability to manage prolonged periods of standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in order to perform job
- Must be physically able to work in unconditioned and uncomfortable environments
- Abilityand willingness to wear safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment as needed
- Must be available to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to meet operational demands
