Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, product demos, and inquiries to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system), accurately process retail sales transactions, and handle cash drawer management with integrity
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent communication skills
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised for optimal presentation
- Assist with inventory counts, stocking supplies, and maintaining accurate product knowledge to support efficient store operations
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, ensuring clear communication at all times
- Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating effectively during busy periods and assisting in product demos or promotional events
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash handling procedures is essential for accuracy and efficiency
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and balancing cash drawers
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail store product knowledge enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Prior supervising experience or involvement in product demos can be advantageous but is not mandatory
