We are seeking a skilled VoIP Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of our proprietary VoIP phone systems for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and ensure that their phone systems are functioning effectively and efficiently. You will also troubleshoot any issues that arise and provide technical support to clients as needed.
This role is perfect for someone with strong technical skills and an acute attention to detail. You should be excited about solving complex problems, working with a small team, and ready to jump in to tackle a variety of issues. You will work directly with the founders while making sure clients are happy with the product. This role needs to have someone who is both not afraid to ask questions and must be willing to search out the answers.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure UniVoxx VoIP phone systems for clients.
- Test and troubleshoot phone systems both remotely and on-site to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in-person.
- Interface with clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and guidance.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet service level agreements and ensure clients satisfaction.
- Document all installations and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in client meetings and consultations as needed.
- Train clients on the use of their VoIP phone systems.
- This role involves frequent travel, with trips commonly ranging from 3 to 5 hours each way; a company car will be provided for all work-related travel.
- Regular overnight stays are required for this role, often spanning multiple consecutive days depending on project needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in VoIP phone system installation and maintenance.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Experience troubleshooting switches and firewalls preferred.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols including VLANs and PoE preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- May, rarely, need to have availability on weekends.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
