Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Housekeeping/Laundry team member to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate will be reliable and dependable. a Team player and follows procedure and policy, upholding cleanliness and sanitization standards. Experience in housekeeping and laundry operations in a healthcare, hospitality, or commercial setting is a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the facility
- Maintain high performance standards
- Perform commercial cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, trash removal, and floor care.
- Laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing linens and resident clothing
- Ensure proper use of housekeeping equipment when using it and report repair needs promptly
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, hospitality, hotel, or long-term care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, floor care, and laundry operations
- Ability to safely operate cleaning and laundry equipment including vacuums, floor machines, washers, dryers, and carpet cleaners
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and guests
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry heat
