About M.I.C. Industries
For more than four decades, M.I.C. Industries has designed and manufactured proprietary mobile building systems that have supported the U.S. military and customers in over 75 countries worldwide. Our flagship technology, the Ultimate Building Machine (UBM®), is recognized globally for its innovation, reliability, and ability to deliver rapid infrastructure solutions in challenging environments.
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of product development, manufacturing, process improvement, and facility optimization projects while collaborating directly with engineering leadership.
Whether you are an early-career engineer eager to accelerate your development or an experienced professional looking for a hands-on engineering environment, this position offers meaningful technical challenges, broad project ownership, and long-term growth potential.
Position Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of M.I.C. products and manufacturing systems. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, this individual will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept and prototype development to implementation, testing, documentation, and production support.
This role combines mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, project coordination, and technical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment where innovation and quality are highly valued.

Project Execution
- Participate in all phases of engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- Manage smaller engineering projects and support larger cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide technical recommendations and solutions to engineering challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge of mechanical design principles.
- Basic proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to create, revise, and check engineering drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred
- Experience with manufacturing, assembly, process engineering, or industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM and ERP/MRP systems.
- Understanding of electrical wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with hydraulics and mechanical power transmission, gears, sprockets and chains, etc.
- Experience creating technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks Composer or similar technical communication tools.
