Amaracon Testing and Inspections provides construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of New York construction, developer and owner clients. Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing client relationships, managing proposal pursuits, and supporting the firm’s marketing and strategic growth initiatives. This position plays a key role in expanding the company’s presence within public and private markets by developing business opportunities, leading proposal efforts, and strengthening relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on-site at the Amaracon Testing and Inspections, LLC office; this is not a remote position
Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Engagement
· Identify and pursue public and private procurement opportunities across New York markets
· Build and maintain relationships with clients, including municipalities, developers, engineers, and contractors
· Conduct outreach, attend industry events, and represent the firm at networking functions
· Maintain CRM systems and track leads, client activity, and follow-ups
Proposals & Pursuits
· Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, and SOQs
· Lead proposal development, including content creation, coordination, and submission
· Collaborate with technical teams to gather project data, resumes, and pricing
· Ensure proposals meet compliance requirements and deadlines
· Track proposal outcomes, including wins/losses and client feedback
Market Research & Strategy
· Monitor bid platforms and market activity to identify new opportunities
· Conduct competitor and market research, including NYC/NY building and construction trends
· Support strategic planning through business intelligence and reporting
Marketing & Communications
· Develop and maintain marketing materials, proposals, and qualification packages
· Support social media, newsletters, and brand presence
· Assist with presentations, graphics, and public-facing materials
Internal Coordination
· Partner with project managers and leadership on pursuits and project handoffs
· Support business certifications, renewals, and compliance requirements .
· Assist with scheduling client meetings, presentations, and site visits
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
