Responsibilities
- Engage with customers through inside and outside sales efforts, understanding their renovation needs and offering tailored product solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, including lighting, cabinetry, fixtures, and accessories, to showcase features and benefits effectively.
- Utilize SketchUp, CAD, or similar layout design tools to create accurate kitchen and bath plans that align with client visions.
- Negotiate pricing, project scope, and terms to close deals confidently while upselling complementary products such as lighting or hardware.
- Manage account relationships by providing ongoing support, coordinating remodeling projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
- Assist with merchandising strategies by maintaining organized displays, stocking products appropriately, and implementing marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with contractors, interior designers, and clients to facilitate seamless project execution from initial consultation through installation.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within the renovation or construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, or other layout design tools for creating detailed plans.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-focused approach to deal closing and upselling.
- Knowledge of remodeling processes, construction practices, lighting design, and maintenance requirements.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse client bases effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain technical details clearly and build lasting client relationships.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple accounts, scheduling appointments, and coordinating project timelines.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail math calculations, and merchandising techniques.
