Job Overview
Operate as a full-process fabricator for structural steel components on second shift.
Responsibilities
· Handle structural steel material in preparation for assembly of main members with accessory parts
· Read and interpret 2d steel shop drawings
· Lay out structural steel main members using information from 2d shop drawings
· Fitup, tack, weld, and bolt accessory material to main members in accordance with shop drawings
· Check other fabricators layout and fitup of accessory material
· Prime main members with single coat shop primer when required by shop drawings.
· Load completed fabricated material to be shipped to jobsite.
Qualifications
· 5-6 years demonstrated experience in a structural steel fabrication shop – particularly in reading and interpreting shop drawings
· Welding certification preferred but not required
· Familiarity with shop equipment including but not limited to FCAW Welding machines, Oxygen Acetylene torch, mag drill, ironworker, press brake, saw, etc.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
