Summary
As a Janitor/Maintenance team member at La Quinta Inns & Suites, you will be essential in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role is vital in upholding our reputation for quality service and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel premises.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all areas are functional and safe.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote a positive guest experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
